FolioIntent: Doc Workflows

Capture or import a document, review what FolioIntent found, and run a bounded Workflow that produces files, text, structured data, and a clear status for each destination action.

Core release scope

• Capture and intake. Scan with the camera, choose supported PDFs or images, or stage a file from another app through Save to FolioIntent.
• On-device processing. OCR, field extraction, evidence links, deterministic checks, and Workflow previews run on this device.
• Useful starters, bounded choices. Start with File this document, Prepare this receipt, or Return to Shortcut. A saved Workflow can use one All/Any group of up to eight filename, OCR, or extracted-field conditions; document content cannot create new actions.
• Reviewable results. Compare extracted fields with their source pages and correct a saved value without silently running or retrying a destination action.
• Shortcuts with structured results. Start a Workflow from Shortcuts and retrieve its files, OCR text, structured data, extracted fields, and action status.
• Destinations you choose. Save to Files or Photos. Direct Paperless-ngx, WebDAV, and S3-compatible configurations remain pre-release until their published live matrix is qualified.
• Inspectable delivery. Each action reports its own state. An accepted upload is not described as confirmed until the destination can support that conclusion.
• Private completion alerts. A Workflow can schedule one generic local notification per run after its earlier required actions reach a terminal outcome. Scheduling does not prove that the alert was displayed or read, and the alert contains no document or destination details.

Privacy

OCR and deterministic Workflow processing run on your device. Files leave the device only when you choose and authorize a destination. FolioIntent has no account system, analytics or advertising SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or managed cloud AI service.

Release status

FolioIntent is in development. Final availability, pricing, and included capabilities will be published only after device, provider, privacy, accessibility, purchase-flow, and App Store verification are complete.
