Privacy policy

This policy explains how Smart Data Choices, Inc. ("we", "us") handles information in FolioIntent: Doc Workflows.

Documents and processing

FolioIntent performs OCR and deterministic document processing on your device. We do not operate a FolioIntent account system, document-processing backend, managed cloud AI service, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or crash-reporting SDK. We do not receive your documents, scans, extracted text, or Workflow results through the app.

Destinations you choose

When you choose Files or Photos, iOS handles the selected destination. When you configure Paperless-ngx, WebDAV, or S3-compatible storage, your device sends the selected output directly to that destination. User-directed transfer is not collection by Smart Data Choices. The destination provider or server operator may process data under its own privacy policy and terms.

Credentials and local records

Destination credentials are stored in the device keychain and are not sent to us. FolioIntent keeps local job, artifact, result, and action-status records so it can preserve originals, recover interrupted work, and avoid unsafe duplicate delivery. You control the device and configured destinations. Removing the app through iOS removes its local app container; exported copies and remote destination copies remain where you placed them.

Permissions

Camera access is used only when you choose capture. Photo-library read access is used for images you select, and add access is used when you choose Photos as a destination. Local-network access is used only for a local Paperless, WebDAV, or S3 server you configure. Notification access is requested only when you enable a Workflow completion alert. The alert is generated on your device and uses generic text without a document name, extracted text, field value, destination, path, or server address.

Purchases

App Store purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple's own privacy terms govern its processing and reporting.

Support and website data

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include and use it to answer the request. Do not send documents or credentials. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Its hosting edge may keep standard request metadata for security and operations under the hosting provider's terms.

Your choices

You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings, remove destination credentials in FolioIntent, delete local items when no unresolved delivery requires them, and delete exported or remote copies at their destination.
